Kids and Green Stuff

Sam will not touch broccoli.  He hates it.  He sees the "green stuff" and bolts.  He'd rather eat bacon.

Blended into a smoothie with cold rooibos tea, a bit of honey, a banana, and frozen berries?  He'll eat broccoli.

Sam: 0
Green vegetables (and Mom): 1

The other day, my mother made us "mashed-potatoes".

In reality, it was cauliflower and yogurt...

I really don't know how I felt about it. I think it would have been better if my mother wasn't trying to sneak vegetables into my meals when I am this old... But, thats an idea! (or there are books on how to sneak veggies into food that your kids will like! (I am going to have to do this with Ben, because he never eats veggies!)

that smoothie sounds good. Never thought of putting tea into it. We put Kale and Spinach in our smoothies all the time and the kids can't tell at all. I often push the limits of just how much green I can sneak in. :)

Haha. I love this. You are so smart, Sarah! Seriously. I'm taking notes for the future. ;)
